American Gift Box to convert Indian non-Christian childrens in KERELA

India ,  Kerela , THRISSUR : It has been found that gift boxes from the US are being distributed to children under 14 years of age in a move to convert them to Christianity. The gift boxes are provided by an Evangelical Christian organization named Operation Christmas Child.

The box consisted of many varieties of items ranging from calculators to toys. These boxes are distributed among children belonging to other religions. The boxes also contain pamphlets, sacred books and other notices.

In order to get a gift box, the children have to fill a form. They have to mention their names, addresses and the correct religion they belong to. The photographs of children who get prize will be taken. The completely filled up forms will then be sent to America. A Hyderabad-based organization controls this process of religious conversion in India.

About 3250 gift boxes are distributed in each district this year. And the distribution of gift boxes was carried out through the units of conversion centres.

It is known that the gift boxes which reached though containers by sea at Thoothukkudi, were given for distribution after customs clearance on June 6.

The whole conversion procedure exploits the strange behaviour of parents who tries to realize the desires of their children. Such parents do everything their children demand, even the demand to be converted.
